Supermarket supports Local Farmers

More Supermarkets are supposed to help the local Community in Zambia, because they are taking away their customer base.
Importing Goods has become so important in Zambia now, which has a huge effect on the local community that owns a farm and used to sell their goods to the locals. But now there opportunity is gone more goods are being shipped into Zambia from Supermarkets, which nearly sell everything.
Through all these losses that the community has, will they have to deal with unemployment soon, because the supermarket put every local Zambian farmer on risk now.

This topic scopes around the business syllabus of a recent topic, which would be in the chapter Finance all about cash flow and where money is being invested.

A Topic is Globalization because of the awareness that more supermarkets want to ship their goods to Zambia.  Through this process does the country now rely on their suppliers to ship the goods in time to Zambia. As well do exporting goods from one country to the other count as one huge step towards globalization.
The Government is playing their strings and showing off their strategy because of the loss of goods, the government persuades supermarkets that Zambia needs their goods, because the farmers need their help.

Will Windows be able to keep up with Apple - Market Share

Finally has Windows made a step in the right direction on the mobile phone market and is stepping up to Apple IOS. The Company had been on the top for their operating systems a while, but had a throwback with their Windows Phone.
Windows has launched their first mobile phone operating system in 2010.

The Companies market share has risen in the last three years, even with their high competition on the market.
Comparing Windows with IOS, Android and other companies, have IOS and Windows market share increased, where as Android and other operating system companies market share has fallen.
The windows phone seems to get very popular in the Europe region such as Germany and France, where their market share has increased:
Germany: 6.9% to 10.9%
France: 9.9% to 13.1%
Which means there market share has risen about 3.2 and 3.6% in the last years. Where as Apple IOS has demonstrated with their regular software updates, that it is still a very competitive company.
Great Britain: 27.9% to 33.7%
Australia: 29.3% to 37.8%
Japan: 27.1% to 33.8%

As we can see has Apple been the market leader and very hard to compete with because of there enormous market share compared to the other operating system companies.
Both these companies have launched their new Phones with the new software’s.
Windows has launched “Windows 10” on October 6, 2015 where as Apple has launched the Iphone 6s on the 25th September 2015. Let the competition begin, who will be the next market leader!

Windows has now to compete with the new Apple product.

Samsung Galaxy S6 – disappoint profit fall

How it seems is Samsung having a difficult time with their new product that aired in April 2015. Up till now was the Korean Company very popular all around the world with their products. Especially with the new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, were especially popular in Asia area but it seems like it hit the bottom in Europe and the USA.

This article is focusing on the aspects that Samsung´s expectations haven’t been met and it even ended up with a 2/4 drop in the operation profit, from 4 billion pounds that were expected. The Company had remarkable profit numbers till 2013 but since the smartphone market (Apple - USA and Xiaomi – China) increases year by year, has their annual profit dropped by 15%. The current new Samsung phone the Galaxy S6, has been such a great hit at the Asian Market, but it seems that the USA market and European Market are not so fond of this smartphone, that due to those shipments, there was a huge lost in profit. As well has their market share decreasing by 7.2%.

The Solution to these problems that Samsung can relate to is to change the new update on the S6 and Edge, to newer and more reliable ones that the phone might come back on the European market. As well would the company have the opportunity to merge to boost control over the conglomerate.

The Samsung Article, although that is just a small analysis of this weeks problem of the new Samsung product. It shows a focus on marketing and objectives. Which scopes around the Business Management Syllabus, as well does it touch the topic of market share, how it has dropped this year on the smartphone market.

Chinese smartphone maker mimics apples design

Logo of the chinese smartphone
Company " Xiaomi "
The Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi copies apples and Samsung’s design. Its an easy way to think, but in Apples head of design “Jonathan Ive” are there no similarities between his design and Apples. Mr. Ive just called his designs as “theft” and “lazy”.
The Xiaomi phone takes after Samsung in the views of the start up and its name Note, which was mimicked from the Galaxy Note. But the new one has changed the opinion of chinas smartphone users.
Launch ceremony of Mi Note in
Beijing  on 15/01/15

The Mi Note phone is now the biggest internet- connected device used in China.
Most people outside of China or away from the tech mainstream haven’t heard of Xiaomi yet even if it is an cheap good working product, because the phones were just released and they are working on their market strategies to get the phone around the globe.
All Xiami phone so far
However is Xiaomi just another Smartphone company in the popular biggest phone market against the top Android, Samsung and Apple.
Most of Xiaomi smartphones are target to people from the age of 18 till 34, its less likely as stated in the guardian that users of this phone will be over 35 years old.
In fact that Xiaomi isn’t using the target audience and the same detailed functions as Apple and Samsung, is the statement wrong that it is an copy of Apple and Samsung products, even if the outside from far away might look like it.

The case of a false claim to have copied the structure of other smartphone companies shows the aspects of the marketing mix and the demographic target in this article. In case of the Demographic target is it clearly stated that the smartphones are from age 18 till 34, but it doesn’t give specific information just as the gender or what uses the phone has. As well as the Marketing Mix such as the strategies to get more phones shifted than in 2014. In the case of shifting the phones overseas market research must be done primary or even secondary research. Such as an survey for primary research as well as Internet research for more specific and detailed sources in the case of secondary research.

Both might look similar but they
aren´t

Lufthansa

Germanys largest airline asked for a new talk with the union Officals and therefore called the strike.
Lufthansa strikes as usual again. Tueday,2nd December and 4th December 2014 because they want to phase out ist early retirement scheme, which nearly all pilots oppose off. It will be the second time this week, while again 150,000 passengers tickets have been cancelled. From short till medium-haul flights as well as Lufthansas long-haul and carco flights. Lufthaansa strikes have been reoccuring a lot since April 2014, including this one it will be all together nine times in eigth months. By resulting a lost of $160 million of the airlines operating profit.
The reasoning for this strike is so far with the current situation oft he retirement at the age of 55 with receiving 60% of their usually income until the real retire age of 65.
Lufthansa is trying to keep up with this situation by giving their pilots a raise of 5%, which will later also raise their early retirement money. As they have hoped.
The union said "despite all efforts for compromise proposals" by Lufthansa pilots during several rounds of negotiations since October, it had been unable to come to a satisfactory agreement with the company's management.
After all the strikes that have been occuring, Lufthansa has cut down its operating profit guidance for 2015 because oft he concerns of their huge competiiton as well as because of the gobal economic slowdown.
Germany Airline Company Lufthansa - Model Siegesflieger
for the Worldcup 2014 winners of Germany
The guidance for this year has been 2 billion Euros, which wasnt reached this year despite of all the number of strikes that have been occuring this year from the pilots. The operating profit was 1 billion Euros. The Airline group expects the operating profit of 2015 to be a significant like 2014, with an profit of 1 billion Euros at least.
The carrier reportedthe operating profits from the last nine months which was up to849 million Euros, while the net profits increased 235 million Euros from last year (from 247 million to 482 million Euros).
So far has the airline Lufthansa been hit by 8 only pilot strikes by union Vereinigung Cockpit in a dispute to attempt to change the retirement as well as the pension arrangements.
Lufthansas market shares fell by 6% this morning.

This case study scopes a little bit around the Business Management Syllabus. First of all in this weeks new chapter 4, which is marketing has been represented by the market share of Lufthansa, which has been decreasing. As well as from chapter 1 the increased profit and operating profit of the company.

Labels:
Strategy: From Lufthansa to give a raise to the pilots that they stop to strike, which will stop the decreasing of the profit as well as the decreasing market share
Globalization: Is when the pilots strike so often and affect the planned flight, which are short, medium or long all around the world by the german airline.

The Company while it was a GbR started with 200 employees but reached up to 500 employees in 2011. The head Quarter has set most of their employees in the
Matthias Speis
design department, less employees work at the production area in Leipzig. Altough that the Leipziger Spreadshirt Company is the main one but it is still the smallest one of their Quarters. Most production of their products takes place in different part of Germany, Polen and the USA. Even if the Company is placed all over the world it still sells every else the same products, only the advertisements are different, depending on the Country it is set. Alll of the quarters share the same aim.

The aim of the Company is "Your Text, Your Image on your product" which heads to the description that you can design the product of your choice how you want to wherever you are. The objectives is that all companies are set all around the world, to please the costumers with their chosen product/design and text as quickly as possible.

The vision of the company sis to provide a variety of products and the design for different events.
"Spreadshirt bietet Dir Hypnotisch Vision T-Shirt, die garantiert nicht jeder hat".

Their products go beyond just storage thats why Spreadshirt continues opening more production areas in Germany and Polen, that the production is quicker and can be easy shipped. Which gives them than the opportunity to launch more products.

SPREADSHIRT LEIPZIG
Altough that the Company doesn't take away a lot of space in Leipzig, they try to use as many resources as they can. For example solar energy for the light in the production area. The company doesn't waste materials, when the production made a mistake the products are given to a doss house or to the employees. Which gives the company an good image and therefore they also don't waste materials, which gives them only a less decreased output. The environment doesn't affect the company in any way, through being unstable in recycling waste materials and left over materials that aren't usable anymore.

The connection to our business management syllabus are the topics stakeholders, strategies, aim, objectives and marketing, which gives them the result in being the best of the best.

Spreadshirt is a stakeholder of Team Shirts and Yink, which is also included in their Company building in Leipzig. They share their ideas but not always do they use the same products ore sell them for the same price. As well is the Company well at marketing their products with commercials, Tv Spots, articles, and their varieties of sales on their homepage in different languages. Through having their different amount of shares at Yink and Team Shirt gives them a huge better income with just only Spreadshirt. Which can be re-invested for new projects, products and advertisement.
The Company has a well thought through strategy by having many different advertisements and tv-spots every where and also including gift cards and sales to increase the number of costumers.

My experience at Spreadshirt Leipzig was pretty impressive, through the Graphic Design Department I was in. I enjoyed meeting new people from different cultures - which was just like school. I gathered more experience in the graphic design department in this workplace, to see how the finished work of advertisements etc. look like and how they are made. Everything was pretty impressive.
